February 9, Monday. It was daylight at 5:30 AM but we went back to sleep—it’s a sea day so we are going to do laundry but so is everyone else so we will wait. They finally have the internet working so I’m going to post while it is up and running. It was down since we crossed the equator and they flew someone from Miami into Fortaleza to fix it. We did some hand wash and hung it on the balcony and Debbie was able to get a washer and we got the rest of the laundry done. We cleaned closets—really had to clean up since things were getting kind of messy and we couldn’t find things. We went to the internet café and talked to the guy about extending our minutes and we did and he messed it up and charged us the wrong amount so we need to find him again today. We went and picked up a picture Debbie ordered and then had lunch in the dining room. The lady that sat next to Debbie was a rude mailto:b@t%25h! She was nasty to the waiters for no reason. Hope we don’t run into her again. There was another medical emergency yesterday too and we talked to a lady whose friend slipped in the lido cafe and broke her hip in Dominica and had to be flown to Ft. Lauderdale. Someone else died a few days ago and they spent hours trying to find the minister who was in the spa having a massage. I don’t know what happened yesterday but I’m sure we will hear. In bed early but neither of us slept well.February 10, Tuesday. Full moon last night was beautiful and got some photos. The sun was up at 5:15 am this morning and so was I taking photos of us arriving in Recife. The Captain blew the horn really long because there were small fishing boats right in front of us. I hope this city is better than the last one. Today we do a catamaran tour as this city is similar to Venice. We are getting dressed to go and waiting for Room Service to bring our coffee and then we will be off. More later.
