February 20th, Friday although the Carnival Capers says its Monday, it really is Friday. Sea day. We set the alarm to be up by 7 AM so that we could be first in line to do laundry as the room isn’t unlocked and open until 8 AM on sea days only to find we were 7th in line and the person who was first had 5 loads and only 3 washers so we took it all back to the cabin and did what we could by hand and put it on the balcony. It was warm when we checked this morning and now the temperature has dropped and it is cold and windy. By lunch it had dropped to 69 degrees and the wind made it feel like 40. We went to the penguin talk and to what we would see tomorrow at Puerto Madryn and our Punto Toombo Penguin Rookery tour (that is a mouthful) but we will only see one kind of penguin here and they will be families and this is the time of year the babies are getting to do their first swim. It is a 2 and ½ hour ride and then a mile walk from the bus so tomorrow will be a long day. It is supposed to be cold and windy with a chance of rain. Went to the casino for awhile after lunch but not lucky today—Debbie is so she stayed. I’m going to get ready for dinner early since tonight is “elegant” night and we have the cocktail party before dinner and we have early dinner so our party is at 5 PM. We will go to the show after dinner and have to be in the lounge by 6:45 AM for our tour in the morning. I’ve lost my voice again and Karen says I need an interpreter since only one word in 3 comes out when I try to talk. That is all for today since it will be busy until we get back from our tour tomorrow. Can’t wait to tell you about the penguins tomorrow.
